Product Introduction
Stainless Steel Cold-Rolled Coil – Overview
Definition:
A stainless steel cold-rolled coil (CRC) is a flat stainless steel sheet rolled at room temperature into a coil. Cold rolling improves the surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and mechanical properties compared to hot-rolled steel.
Key Features of Cold-Rolled Stainless Steel:
- Smooth, high-quality surface finish (2B, BA, No.4, or mirror finishes)
- Tighter thickness tolerances than hot-rolled coils
- Better flatness and edge quality
- Higher yield strength due to work hardening
Common Grades:
- 201: Cost-effective, indoor use, moderate corrosion resistance
- 304: Standard grade, excellent corrosion resistance, widely used
- 316: High corrosion resistance, suitable for marine and chemical environments
- 430: Decorative, magnetic, less corrosion-resistant
Thickness Range:
- Typically 0.3 mm – 3 mm, depending on application
- Width: Standard 1000 mm – 1500 mm, or custom
Surface Finishes:
- 2B: Smooth, dull finish, standard industrial use
- BA (Bright Annealed): Shiny, reflective finish
- No.4 / Brushed: Satin finish for decorative purposes
- Mirror / Polished: Highly reflective finish
